So what happens when Juniors are not in class? Last week saw their “Cultural Long Expedition” and the children did us proud. Some were cross country skiing and some were snowshoeing and some were ski touring – all hard work and challenging but also rewarding. On Saturday morning, the children were taken to the local ski slopes of Anzère for some tobogganing. There were a few groans at first because they had just completed two tough days of expedition but in the bright sunshine, the groans quickly turned to excitement and they had a lovely, exhilarating morning of whizzing down the mountains. On Saturday afternoon, they went to Sierre to do a little shopping, and after Sunday morning downtime, they helped Mrs Webber make a Japanese curry followed by some birthday cake to celebrate her birthday. It was a lovely evening and Mrs Webber made cooking for 18 seem effortless when it certainly is not.
