Although Switzerland was initially hit hard by the Coronavirus, its authorities, health services and people have dealt exceptionally well with the crisis. New cases and hospital admissions are down to negligible levels and a three-phase easing of restrictions began in late April. Swiss schools were amongst the first in Europe to re-open and Le Régent started welcoming students back to campus on 11th May. There are obviously strict health and hygiene precautions in place but the signs are positive and there are plenty of happy faces as friends meet up again – with the older students still respecting the appropriate social distancing rules, of course! Thanks to Swiss guidelines, younger children have it easier!
