There was a great atmosphere amongst parents and students on Friday evening for the Junior Event. The school was very well represented with lots of runners taking part. Our youngest runners were in the mini 900m event, whilst the majority of our students were in the 1800m event. All the participants were awarded well-earned medals and they deserve indeed our congratulations for their courage, enthusiasm and sense of community. A special mention to Seren and Ruby who stood on the podium in 2nd and 3rd place in the Junior Girls’ Category.
The older students participated in the main event on Saturday, running 6.2km with 630m of ascent. Conditions were tough as it was a cold and wet day to be competing. Sophia and André were our first students who sprinted to the finish line in direct competition with each other. Sophia’s time was recorded as 52:34.6 and André’s was 52:35.0, so it was a very close race for first place within the school. Congratulations to them both and to everyone who competed in this tough challenge.
