IB examinations at Le Régent are now well underway. While schools in some countries are following a “non-exam route”, Swiss schools were informed in February that their students would sit a reduced series of examinations to complement coursework in determining IB grades. This can create some extra pressure, but by and large, exams seem to bring out the best in students. Sadly, even in Switzerland, one or two schools have pleaded that they faced major disruption during the pandemic but Le Régent, thanks to admirable staff efforts, student commitment and family support, has been able to teach almost completely normally since April 2020. Most important of all, our students are ready, and the exam route recognizes the enormous efforts they and their teachers have put in. We wish them good luck!
