Lucas, an ESS student in IB1, has been conducting a study on how wildlife is affected by urban areas for his Internal Assessment project. He and his teacher, Mr Wood, set up several camera traps in the Lotschental forest at different distances from the town. Their results have been incredible. They managed to identify a huge variety of animals, in particular a verified Lynx spotting, which is very rare (last spotted in 2014). There are only 12 in the whole of Valais.
